There is a particular kind of restaurant that earns its reputation not through hype but through regulars. The kind where people come back week after week, not because it is new or trending, but because the food is genuinely good and the experience feels comfortable enough to call familiar. Casa Vostra has been that restaurant for a lot of Singaporeans since its Raffles City opening in July 2024, and on 15 May 2026, it is bringing that same energy to Tampines Mall.

This is Casa Vostra’s third outlet in Singapore and its first in the east. The 58-seater restaurant will be located at 4 Tampines Central 5, #01-33A, open daily from 11.30am to 10pm with no reservations accepted. Walk-ins only, which has always been part of how the brand operates.
Why the East Was the Natural Next Move
Chef Antonio Miscellaneo, the chef behind Casa Vostra, was candid about what drove the Tampines decision. He has been meeting regulars from the east at both Raffles City and Jem who kept telling him they wished the restaurant was closer to home. Tampines was the answer to that feedback, and it fits the Casa Vostra philosophy well. The name means “your home” in Italian, and the intention has always been to make Italian dining feel like something you return to easily rather than reserve for occasions.
The brand joins its sister locations in a small but deliberate network. Raffles City opened in 2024, Jem followed in 2025, and a fourth outlet is already planned for later this year. The expansion is measured rather than rushed, which reflects how Chef Antonio thinks about scaling. The goal, as he describes it, is not just more restaurants but a brand that people recognise and feel genuinely familiar with over time.
What Makes the Food Worth Talking About
Casa Vostra’s cooking is rooted in regional Italian traditions from Chef Antonio’s hometown in the Dolomites. He was raised by a mother from Sardegna and a father from Abruzzo, and that dual influence shows up in how broadly he draws from Italian culinary heritage. He also spent years returning to different parts of Italy, from Umbria to Naples to Sicily, with each region shaping how he cooks today.
The practical result of that background is a menu that feels genuinely Italian rather than adapted for broader tastes. Vegetables and cheeses are sourced from Italy. Salumi is made and aged in-house. The pasta is handmade using Italian milled durum wheat. The pizza dough is cold-fermented for 36 hours before being fired at high heat. None of that is incidental. It is the foundation that has kept people queuing since day one.
The New Dishes Launching First at Tampines
Diners at the Tampines outlet will be the first in Singapore to try a new selection of dishes before they roll out to other locations, which is a genuine reason to visit early.
On the pizza side, the Margherita Affumicata at $19++ takes the classic and pushes it into more interesting territory with smoked provola and a house-made smoked mayonnaise. The Prosciutto e Nduja at $24++ is a richer option, pairing prosciutto cotto with a Calabrian chilli pepper sauce, fried sage, and smoked provola for a more layered, savoury result.

The pasta additions are equally worth ordering. The Raviolone con Ricotta, Spinaci e Tuorlo Morbido at $23++ is filled with ricotta and spinach and finished with a sauce of soft egg yolk, burnt butter, and sage. It is the kind of dish that is deeply comforting without feeling heavy. The Agnolotti al Branzino e Gamberi at $27++ takes a lighter direction, pairing sea bass and Argentinian prawns with capers and San Marzano tomatoes DOP for a seafood-forward result that feels clean and considered.

Rounding out the new additions is the Frittatina alla Scamorza at $11++, a deep-fried scamorza finished with honey, lemon, and extra virgin olive oil, and the Coppa alla Stracciatella at $14++ for dessert, a stracciatella gelato served with chocolate shards, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.

A Good Reason to Head to Tampines in May
For families in the east, Casa Vostra Tampines Mall is an easy recommendation. The price points are accessible, the setting is casual, and the food is the kind that works across a table of different preferences. The no-reservations policy means timing your visit sensibly is worth thinking about, particularly in the first few weeks when opening crowds tend to be larger.
Casa Vostra Tampines Mall opens on 15 May 2026 at 4 Tampines Central 5, #01-33A, Tampines Mall. If you are planning to go during the opening period, arriving at opening time or later in the evening is probably the most comfortable approach. Will you be heading down in May?
