Looking for an unforgettable tea experience in Singapore? Alley on 25 at Andaz Singapore now offers a refreshed afternoon tea experience with their new Kampong Glam afternoon tea set. Available daily, the leisurely experience allows you to relish in colourful themed delights inspired by the cultural neighbourhood next to the hotel.

Fitted with doors mimicking the yellow mango doors found in the hotel guestrooms, the specially handcrafted stands encapsulate the spirit of the shophouse enclave from the rooms to the dining tables.

You can also enjoy the tea on stands hand-painted in three other colours representing the different stories of the hotel – orange representing the aromatic curries prepared by the Malay community in Kampong Glam; aqua as the hotel is surrounded by stunning sea views; and purple for the local aubergine that can also be found in the hotel sky herb garden on level 25.

The culinary team has curated a selection of savouries and sweets inspired by the bustling alleyways’ icons, sights, and tastes. Begin with a ball of deliciousness with the Hainanese Chicken Arancini, coated with panko crumbs, deep-fried to golden perfection, and topped with an appetising chilli cucumber salsa for a kick of zing and heat. The moreish Beef Rendang Tarlet spotlights the local Malay community. Using New Zealand beef, chefs slow-cook it for three hours to render it meltingly tender and flavourful. A piquant Sambal Prawn Sandwich is equally delightful, prepared with sustainably sourced tiger prawns, freshly-baked sourdough toast, and Avruga caviar.

Dessert lovers will find delicate sweet treats creatively infused with spices commonly found in the melting pot of eateries and nearby restaurants. Bite into crusty warm-from-the-oven Dirty Chai Scones comprising seven varieties of chai, served with tangy ginger apricot jam and clotted cream.

Using Hokkaido milk, Saffron Panna Cotta is studded with Granny Smith apple chunks. Other sweet delights with well-balanced flavours include Spiced Dark Chocolate Bon Bon, Sumac Strawberry Macaron, and Cinnamon Soft Serve with five-spice cornflake crumble and caramelised biscuit drizzle.

Relax and complete the experience with a free flow of freshly brewed coffee, artisanal TWG Tea, and the comforting local beverage, Teh Halia, pulled black tea infused with sugar and condensed milk. Indulgent options to add a glass (from S$20) or bottle (from S$90) of Delamotte Brut Champagne, Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé Champagne, or organic Copenhagen Sparkling Tea (5% alcohol) are also available.

Follow this epicurean journey with a visit to level two of the hotel entrance. Local artist Danielle Tay has just completed an eye-catching mural that depicts the importance of the sea, paying homage to the seafarers and traders who contributed greatly to the development of Singapore’s trading hub and the bustling port of Kampong Glam. This mural also adds to the many artistic and outdoor murals the neighbourhood is known for. Guests of this afternoon tea experience can also head to homegrown leathercraft studio Crafune, situated a stone’s throw away from the hotel, to enjoy a 15% discount off retail items.

The Kampong Glam Afternoon Tea experience is available daily from 3 PM to 5 PM and is priced at S$55 per guest. Click here to view the menu. For enquiries or reservations, please visit the hotel dining page or call +65 6408 1288. All mentioned prices are subject to a 10% service charge and 7% GST.
