Love popcorn? The well-loved Singaporean popcorn distributor and manufacturer The Kettle Gourmet has recently announced the launch of two new regional flavours, Pulut Hitam and Fish Head Curry. Celebrating delicious Asian flavours, as well as traditional favourites, The Kettle Gourmet aims to make snacking fun, instilling a sense of nostalgia and allowing consumers to enjoy local delicacies in bite-size pieces with their family, friends, or colleagues.

The two new flavours will join the Crazy Asian Series which also includes Kaya Butter Toast, Chilli Crab, Nasi Lemak, and Chicken Floss. Looking to expand within the Asia Pacific region, these two variants are part of The Kettle Gourmet mission to develop more regional flavours that appeal to all palates.

Priced at SGD 5 for 65g and SGD 15 for a family-sized packet of 320g, these two new flavours are available for purchase on The Kettle Gourmet’s website, as well as via online stockists Shopee, Lazada, Redmart, GrabFood, PandaMart, and Qoo10.

Featuring two new snack monsters on The Kettle Gourmet’s renowned vibrant packaging, Pulut Hitam and Fish Head Curry are freshly baked using high-quality ingredients with no trans-fat. Like the rest of the variants, they are also halal certified to ensure all consumers can enjoy their favourite popcorn.

As a keen foodie, Founder and CEO Zac Chua has always enjoyed the local Asian delicacies available in Singapore and the wider region and so when he started The Kettle Gourmet in 2017, he wanted to create a snack that was inspired by popular, local flavours as well as a traditional popcorn seasoning. Constantly evolving the brand’s offerings, Zac and his team of expert in-house chefs consider what they personally enjoy eating and what delicacies would work for a fun snack at any point of the day.

The new Fish Head Curry popcorn mimics the same delicious taste as the traditional dish. Zac Chua, Founder and CEO of The Kettle Gourmet, states, “Unique to Singapore and Malaysia, Fish Head Curry is one of our favourite dishes at The Kettle Gourmet HQ and to most Singaporeans. We wanted to create an easy way to eat a variation of the classic savoury dish as curry is difficult to transport, our Fish Head Curry popcorn can be eaten on the move, at home, in the office, or in the cinema.”

The second new flavour is the Southeast Asian sweet dessert Pulut Hitam. A comforting dish made from black sticky rice, coconut milk, and sugar, which is most commonly enjoyed in  Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Now, however, The Kettle Gourmet has launched it in popcorn form! “Through our research, we found that Pulut Hitam is more popular with older consumers and so we hope to show our young customers just how delicious it is and what they have been missing,” says Zac Chua.

Offering more than their competitors, The Kettle Gourmet also curates special gift boxes – including the recently launched Pokémon set – for customers to send to their family, friends, colleagues, and clients. They also offer a subscription service that delivers popcorn right to consumers’ doorsteps, bringing not only convenience but helping regular customers save some money.

The Kettle Gourmet’s Pulut Hitam and Fish Head Curry are priced from SGD 5 and are available for purchase online on their website, Shopee, Lazada, Redmart, GrabFood, PandaMart, and Qoo10.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
