Accommodation

Our Pullman Singapore Orchard review begins with our accommodation: interconnected Premier rooms on the 7th floor, ideal for our family of four. The alternative was a Deluxe Premier Room, part of the Father’s Day package. What a joy to check in as early as 10 a.m., allowing us to settle in comfortably and even sneak out for a quick breakfast at the nearby McDonald’s—a happy treat.

Our rooms offered a stunning view of the Takashimaya Shopping Centre and the vibrant Orchard Road below—a first for me at such a grand height. Each room was a haven of amenities with two bathtubs, TVs, and Nespresso machines, ensuring no squabbles among the kids over bathroom turns. A highlight for tech enthusiasts, Android users can cast their favourite shows from Disney+ or Netflix onto their TVs, enhancing our relaxation time. Embracing sustainability, Pullman Singapore Orchard uses wooden key cards and has installed filtered water taps to minimise plastic usage.

Hotel Amenities

The hotel boasts remarkable facilities tailored to offer both relaxation and gastronomy. The P.S.O. Beach Club is a unique oasis on Orchard Road, featuring a pool with a swim-up bar and sun beds where you can unwind to ambient music sounds. The Atelier Lounge & Bar offers a chic environment where fashion meets gourmet with tasty bites, bespoke cocktails, and high-quality Common Man Coffee Roasters coffee. We also explored Eden Restaurant, enveloped in greenery and sunlight, which was perfect for our dining experience.

Dining Experience in Eden Restaurant

The culinary journey at Eden Restaurant was the highlight of our stay. We indulged in the Live Boston Lobster Bonanza, sampling dishes like the Singapore-style chilli Lobster Linguine and Teppanyaki Boston Lobster, each dish impressing more than the last. The sides, such as the Kichap Manis Fries and Creamy Hainanese Mac and Cheese, were delectable. The restaurant’s spacious and intimate ambience complemented the sophisticated dinner setting.

Exclusive Access to Archive Club

For an additional fee of SGD70, we accessed the Archive Club, a cosy and private area ideal for enjoying a quiet evening. The club offers premium drinks, evening light bites, and a peaceful breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. It’s a place of tranquillity away from bustling city life.

Breakfast in Bed

The next morning, we ate breakfast in our rooms, a luxurious convenience available from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. The service was prompt, and the food, ranging from Avocado on Toast to Egg Benedict, was delightful, making it a perfect start to our day.

I found one of the quirkiest little spots in Joo Chiat 👀

Heartware Store & Gallery is currently hosting Japanese artist Choibusu’s first solo exhibition in Singapore, featuring 500+ handmade “ugly-cute” keychains. Think sushi, snails, wisdom teeth and all sorts of wonderfully weird characters. 😂

There are also vintage Japanese toys, 3D-printed lamps, colourful merch and plenty of random treasures to discover.
