The filmmakers from THE LEGO MOVIE has made this miniature plastic toy movie visually fun to watch for all ages. Second on the big screen was THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE which was released early this year. Humorous for both D.C. fans and non-fans.
This September, LEGO is bringing the fans to experience a whole new, different adventure. Welcome to the world of ninjas! Coming to the theatres in Singapore on 28th September, THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE is this year’s highly anticipated animated action and comedy movie.
Fronted by famous Hollywood stars like Jackie Chan who voiced Master Wu and Dave Franco who voiced Lloyd (The Green Ninja), this film tells a story of six young ninjas who are tasked to defend their home, Ninjago. Led by martial art guru, Master Wu, they must defeat the evil warlord named Garmadon. As the movie slogan goes “Good and Evil are related“, Lloyd happens to be the son of Garmadon. Mechs against Mechs, these modern day ninjas need to work together as a team to defeat evil.
For any LEGO movies, you can find movie toy merchandises. Right before the film screening starts, THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE toys hit the stores island-wide in August. I am thrilled to get my hands on the Fire Mech (70615), which is retailing at SGD$129.
The Fire Mech is suitable for children age nine to fourteen years old. There are a total of six miniature LEGO figurines adapted from The LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE. They are Kai, Zane, Lauren, Henry, Jelly and Hammer Head. The box also indicates that the final build of Fire Mech heights 36cm.
Unlike most LEGO sets where there are multiple instructional booklets, the Fire Mech has only one instructional booklet which looks very much like a magazine. With the LEGO bricks separated into eight mini packs, each pack are used to build the particular part of the Fire Mech. For example, Pack 1 is used to build the main body while Pack 8 is used to create the disc shooters and flags.
I am always very impressed by how LEGO designs their toys across all series. From the shoulder disc shooters to scorching fire blasters, I love the details of this iconic red mech. Here are some of the close-up photographs of the LEGO toy.
The NINJAGO Movie is to inculcate the children the spirits of a ninja – courage, perseverance and teamwork. What’s more? LEGO is also set to inspire and empower girls to explore their dreams and challenge boundaries through Nya, the only female ninja in the movie – because who said girls couldn’t be ninjas too?
