As a Dad, one of my top priorities is to help my child to do well in school academics. Unlike English and Mandarin which our family speaks every day, Mathematics requires lots of practice and logical thinking. Math assessment books turn out to be too dry for Kayden. After a few months of coaching struggle, I have found an affordable and fun way for my Primary 1 son to learn maths quickly, anywhere.

When it comes to learning math using digital devices, there are countless options in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. From number games to solving clues, these mobile apps aim to spark children’s love for math in children and strengthening of their arithmetic skills. However, my concern is how can I be sure that these apps are aligned with Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements?

Yes, maths can actually be fun, even if it isn’t your child’s favourite subject in school.

Children learn through playing. This is the principle which Brainy Arkies applies. Combining both entertainment and learning, this mobile app can be a great motivator for children to keep coming back.

The minute I downloaded Brainy Arkies for Kayden on his iPad, he easily got the hang of playing as the ‘Great One’. He immediately set about trying to complete quests, built up his virtual world and level up his Arkies by solving maths questions.

“When I solve the math questions, I feel happy. I can level up my Arkies and earn pebbles to build more houses. I can build my own world!” – Kayden

After a few weeks of playing, I noticed positive results on Kayden. In comparison to maths assessment books, this is the most effective tool which I have used to help my son enjoy learning mathematics.

What makes Brain Arkies stand out

Brainy Arkies is free for download on iOS App Store and Google Play store. You can also unlock all math questions through P1 to P6, and in-depth reports for parents to monitor their child’s progress. Developed by Marshall Cavendish Education, this fun edutainment app is fully aligned with the Ministry of Education’s syllabus standards. Brainy Arkies was developed to offer its users guided solutions and also allow for directed self-learning.

Getting diagnostic reports on Kayden’s progress will help me to analyse his strengths and weaknesses. This in-depth analysis report is part of the paid subscription membership that you can opt-in. With this report and guided solutions, I can work closely with my boy and assist him in conquering his obstacles in maths.

“I can learn math at my own pace.” – Kayden

Don’t worry if your child went overly-engrossed. For Kayden, I set a daily limit of 1-hour gameplay so that he can have time to finish up his homework and enjoy outdoor play time.

Brainy Arkies is the solution to your child’s math problems.

If you are trying to find a way to help your child excel in math, why not try out Brainy Arkies. As my son progressed through the levels, the app has built a positive impact on his understanding of mathematics.

From as low as $9.98 per month or $68.98 per annum (which is a 40% discount!), this is a well worth investment to give your child the opportunity to succeed at mathematics in school.
