Ever wondered how a beer brand becomes the heart of Chinese New Year celebrations? Carlsberg seems to have cracked the code, blending tradition with modern pop culture in a way that feels both fresh and deeply familiar. This year, they are not just selling beer. They are offering an entire festive experience, complete with a viral music collaboration and a collectable mahjong set that’s already causing a buzz.

A Modern Take on Prosperity with SKAI ISYOURGOD

Music has always been part of Carlsberg’s identity, and for 2026, they have teamed up with international rap artist SKAI ISYOURGOD. Known for his global hit “Blueprint Supreme,” SKAI brings a dynamic, contemporary energy to the Year of the Horse. The collaboration features an exclusive Carlsberg remix of the track, which includes a clever lyrical twist. It positions Carlsberg as the modern “Bo Le,” the legendary horse talent scout, suggesting the brand helps you spot and unlock your own potential for the year ahead.

The song blends rhythmic blessings for success and wealth, turning a traditional CNY sentiment into a shared, modern anthem. It is about ambition, good fortune, and collective celebration, perfectly capturing the spirit of the season.

The Must-Have Festive Accessory: A Mini Mahjong Set

Perhaps the most talked-about item is the limited edition Carlsberg 一起發 Mini Mahjong Set. Designed for portable fun, this mini set lets you bring the classic game of skill and luck to any reunion or gathering. It embodies the idea of mastering your own fortune, quite literally. The set is not available for direct purchase, which adds to its allure. Instead, you can earn entries into a lucky draw by buying Carlsberg Smooth Draught from major supermarkets or online. For every $30 spent on a single receipt, you get one chance to win. You just need to upload your receipt via a link on Carlsberg Singapore’s Instagram page.

Stunning Design Meets Ancient Craft

The visual theme for the campaign is just as impressive. The limited edition beer cans and bottles feature a design inspired by traditional Gilding Lacquer Art, a technique used on luxury ceremonial objects. Enhanced with modern digital artistry, the design shows a majestic golden horse charging beneath Carlsberg’s hop leaf, now reimagined as lucky clouds. It is a beautiful piece of art that symbolises energy, bravery, and new beginnings, destined to stand out on any festive table.

More Ways to Win Big This CNY

Carlsberg has also lined up several promotions that let you “take charge” of your luck. At participating supermarkets, spend a minimum amount on Carlsberg Smooth Draught to get a free festive wagon trolley. If you buy bottles, remember to check under the cap for instant wins like gold bars or cash prizes. There is also an exclusive contest at 7-Eleven where a small purchase gives you a chance to win the latest Apple iPhone. Various other outlets offer chances to win gold bars with smaller purchases, making almost every Carlsberg buy a potential lucky moment.

Brewing Shared Joy and Good Fortune

Ultimately, Carlsberg’s 2026 campaign is about more than just beer. It is about creating shared moments of joy, ambition, and prosperity. By weaving together music, a coveted game set, stunning design, and exciting promotions, they have built a holistic celebration that resonates deeply with the Singaporean CNY spirit. It is a reminder that the new year is about hope, connection, and galloping confidently toward success.

Will you be trying your luck for that mini mahjong set this festive season?
