Fourgather’s new menu is making waves as one of Singapore’s best modern Thai restaurants. From Pinto Thai Rice Porridge served in nostalgic tiffin carriers to Instagram-worthy Creamy Lava Eggs, it’s a culinary journey offering authentic Thai street food right in the city’s heart.

Who would have thought a trip to Thailand could be as easy as stepping into a restaurant? Last weekend, my family and I stumbled upon Fourgather, a modern Thai restaurant in Singapore that’s causing quite a stir with its new menu additions. Nestled in the bustling heart of Telok Ayer, Fourgather is not just another Thai eatery; it’s an experience that transports you straight to the vibrant streets of Bangkok.

A Hidden Gem Among Modern Thai Restaurants in Singapore

As we walked into Fourgather, the first thing that struck me was the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor subtly blends modern elements with traditional Thai touches, creating a cosy space that’s perfect for both family dinners and casual outings with friends. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, setting the tone for an unforgettable meal.

Pinto Thai Rice Porridge: Comfort Food Redefined

A variety of dishes served in traditional Thai tiffins are arranged on a wooden table with colorful cushions in the background.

Our culinary adventure began with the Pinto Thai Rice Porridge, which immediately caught my eye. Served in charming three-tiered tiffin carriers, this meal is a nostalgic nod to the Thai “Pinto” lunchbox tradition. The fragrant pandan jasmine rice porridge was accompanied by various side dishes that made our mouths water.

We opted for the set for two at $23.90++, which includes unlimited porridge and four side dishes. Our selections were:

  • Fish Sausage Salad Yum: A delightful mix of tangy and spicy flavours.
  • Thai Garlic Lime Pork (Moo Manao): Tender slices of pork infused with zesty lime and garlic.
  • Steamed Pork Patty with Salted Fish: A savoury treat that reminded me of comforting home-cooked meals.
  • Fried Crispy Pork Belly with Fish Sauce: Crispy, golden perfection that was an instant hit with the kids.

Sharing food from the tiffin carriers added a communal feel to our meal, making it even more enjoyable. It’s no wonder Fourgather is being hailed for offering some of the best Thai food in Singapore.

Thai Crab Laksa: A Fusion Masterpiece

A tray with a bowl of yellow curry next to a bowl of white noodles and fresh herbs. The tray sits on a table with a woven domed food cover and a printed paper placemat underneath.

As a Laksa fan, I couldn’t resist trying the Thai Crab Laksa (Kanom Jeen Puu), priced at $20.90++. This dish is a beautiful fusion of creamy coconut curry and succulent blue flower crab meat, garnished with fresh herbs and a subtle kick of spice. Each spoonful was a harmonious blend of flavours that left us wanting more.

Slow Braised Pork Knuckle: A Meat Lover’s Dream

The Slow Braised Pork Knuckle is a must-try for those who appreciate hearty dishes. This dish features pork knuckle slow-cooked to tender perfection with aromatic Thai spices, available à la carte for $26.90++ or as a single portion with rice at $15.90++. Served with egg, pickled vegetables, kai lan, and a tangy dipping sauce, a symphony of flavours delighted our taste buds.

A plate of sliced meat, hard-boiled eggs, vegetables, and a side of dipping sauce, garnished with an edible flower, placed on a colorful mat. A woven cover sits beside the plate.

Creamy Lava Eggs: An Instagram-Worthy Delight

No modern Thai restaurant in Singapore would be complete without a delicious and Instagram-worthy dish. The Creamy Lava Egg Served With a Basil or Garlic Protein fits the bill perfectly. Ranging from $15.90++ to $35.90++, depending on your protein choice, this dish features silky eggs cascading over jasmine rice, resembling molten lava.

A spoonful of creamy scrambled eggs being served on top of a mound of white rice on a plate, with a few other dishes blurred in the background.

We chose crispy pork belly stir-fried with fragrant Thai basil. The combination of velvety eggs and savoury pork was simply divine. Plus, you can customise your spice level, making it ideal for those who love a bit of heat.

Authentic Thai Street Food in Singapore’s Heart

What sets Fourgather apart is its commitment to bringing authentic Thai street food to Singapore. The restaurant was founded by four friends who shared a love for Thai cuisine and wanted to recreate the vibrant street food experience they craved. Located within the Amoy Hotel at Telok Ayer, Fourgather offers a relaxed and welcoming space to enjoy good food, art, and music.

When and Where to Find Fourgather

A variety of Thai dishes are served in numerous small bowls and tiffin carriers on a wooden table, including rice, curries, vegetables, and seafood.

Fourgather is open Monday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The Thai Crab Laksa and Slow-Braised Pork Knuckle are available all day. The Pinto Thai Rice Porridge and Creamy Lava Egg dishes are served from 3 p.m. on weekdays and 11:30 a.m. on weekends, with the last order at 10:30 p.m. daily. You can find them at 76 Telok Ayer Street #01-02, within the lobby of Amoy Hotel.

Final Thoughts: A Culinary Adventure Worth Taking

If you’re searching for the delicious and probably the best Thai food in Singapore, Fourgather’s new menu is a game-changer. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where you can embark on a culinary adventure without leaving the city. Whether you’re a working adult looking for a new lunch spot, a young family wanting to try something different, or a youth eager to explore new flavours, Fourgather has something for everyone.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.
