Din Tai Fung, the world-renowned Taiwanese restaurant chain, has expanded its presence with a new location in Novena, bringing its signature dishes and an exclusive array of breakfast options to the local community.

A Culinary Hub in the Heart of Novena

Located strategically in the bustling Novena business district, the new Din Tai Fung aims to cater to the dynamic lifestyle of office workers, medical professionals, and patients. With seating for up to 60 guests, the restaurant offers a perfect spot for both lunch and dinner, ensuring quick, reliable, and delicious meals for all.

For the first time, Din Tai Fung is introducing an exclusive breakfast menu at this location. Early risers can now enjoy innovative dishes like Pan Fried Buns and timeless Steamed Buns, available for takeaway or dine-in. The menu features four distinctive pan fried buns, each crafted to perfection:

  • Pan Fried Pork Buns (鲜肉生煎包): Filled with aromatic, juicy pork and fragrant sesame oil. ($8.90 for 3 pcs / $3.20 for 1 pc)
  • Pan Fried Chilli Crab and Pork Buns (辣蟹鲜肉生煎包): A blend of crab and pork with Southeast Asian spices. ($10.90 for 3 pcs / $3.90 for 1 pc)
  • Pan Fried Shrimp and Pork Buns (虾仁鲜肉生煎包): Succulent shrimp paired with ground pork. ($9.90 for 3 pcs / $3.50 for 1 pc)
  • Pan Fried Cabbage and Pork Buns (白菜鲜肉生煎包): Tender pork and napa cabbage. ($8.90 for 3 pcs / $3.20 for 1 pc)

The new menu also features a delightful assortment of sweet buns:

  • Steamed Butter Buns (牛油包): Soft buns with a golden butter filling. ($7.80 for 3 pcs / $2.80 for 1 pc)
  • Steamed Chocolate Buns (溏心巧克力包): Filled with molten chocolate. ($7.80 for 3 pcs / $2.80 for 1 pc)
  • Steamed Purple Sweet Potato Buns (紫薯包): Sweet and nutritious sweet potato filling. ($6.90 for 3 pcs / $2.50 for 1 pc)
  • Steamed Lava Chocolate Cake Xiao Long Bao (蛋糕巧克力小笼包): Molten chocolate filling wrapped in a delicate bun. ($16.90 for 10 pcs / $10.90 for 6 pcs)

Refreshing Beverages

Complementing the breakfast menu are beverages like Fresh Soya Milk (鲜豆浆) and Brewed Barley Drink (薏米水), available hot or cold. These drinks are crafted to provide a nourishing start to the day.

From 8am to 11am on weekdays and 10am to 11am on weekends, diners can enjoy specially curated breakfast bundles:

  • Set A ($8.90): Choice of steamed buns (2 pcs) and a beverage.
  • Set B ($9.90): Choice of pan fried buns (2 pcs) and a beverage.
  • Set C ($9.50): One steamed bun and one pan fried bun, with a beverage.

Top-ups are available for those seeking a little extra indulgence.

Location and Hours

Visit the new Din Tai Fung at 238 Thomson Rd, #01-05 Novena Square, Singapore 307683. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am to 9pm, Friday from 8am to 9.30pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 10am to 9.30pm. Last orders are taken 30 minutes before closing.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶 

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.
