The vibrant Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit is back in Singapore for only eight weeks! Packed with antioxidants, bursting with berry-sweet flavour, and rich in Vitamin C, this seasonal superfruit is stealing the spotlight in every healthy kitchen. Find out why it’s more than just a pretty fruit.

Have you noticed a ruby-red burst of colour in your local supermarket’s fruit section lately? If so, you’ve just spotted the return of Singapore’s most eye-catching and antioxidant-rich seasonal fruit—the Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit. But here’s the catch: It’s only around for about eight weeks yearly!

With its sweet berry-like flavour and vibrant red flesh, the Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit is not just a treat for your taste buds—it’s a nutritious powerhouse, too. And this year, Zespri is bringing in its biggest-ever supply to Singapore. So, if you haven’t tried this Instagram-worthy fruit, now’s the time.

What Makes Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit So Special?

Lemon Film - Why Everyone's Talking About Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit

Unlike regular green or golden kiwifruits, the Zespri RubyRed stands out with its deep red centre and smooth skin. Its unique flavour is sweet with a hint of berries, making it a refreshing snack or a colourful addition to your breakfast bowl.

But the appeal of this fruit goes far beyond its looks. It’s packed with antioxidants, has a low glycaemic index (GI), and provides 100% of your daily Vitamin C in just one serving. That’s quite impressive for something that looks like it belongs in a fruit bouquet!

A Healthy Boost in Every Bite

Slices of Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit with bowls, a cloth, a peeler, and water droplets create an antioxidant-rich display.

According to a recent study, while many Singaporeans aim to eat healthier, fewer than one in four understand what makes a balanced meal. That’s where the Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit can help.

Low in calories and naturally high in Vitamin C, this fruit supports immune health and promotes glowing skin. Plus, its antioxidant properties help fight oxidative stress in the body, making it an ideal pick for those looking to up their fruit game.

It’s a simple, fuss-free way to make your diet a little more exciting and nutritious.

Limited Edition Fruit in Singapore: Get It Before It’s Gone

One of the most exciting things about the Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit is its limited availability. It’s only sold in Singapore for a short eight-week period every year. That’s right—blink and you might miss it.

A plate holds six Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit; four have stickers, two are halved, showing red flesh. This limited-edition vitamin C superfruit is now available in Singapore.

This seasonal nature makes it a rare gem in the fruit world. It’s perfect for those who love discovering unique, high-quality foods that aren’t available all year round. And if you enjoy fresh, premium produce, this one’s a must-try.

At just S$8.20 per punnet, you can enjoy luxury and wellness with each juicy bite. It’s available at all leading supermarkets across Singapore, so grab a pack before stocks run out.

Easy to Enjoy, Even Easier to Store

The Zespri RubyRed Kiwifruit is softer than its green and SunGold cousins, requiring more TLC. Store it in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy it, and it will stay fresh and sweet.

On a wooden table, yogurt parfaits with granola and Zespri RubyRed kiwifruit are crafted amid nuts, creating a vitamin C-rich treat.

Enjoy it chilled as a post-dinner dessert, slice it over your morning oats, or blend it into a smoothie for a vibrant boost of colour and nutrition. However you have it, RubyRed’s juicy sweetness is sure to impress.

The Story Behind Zespri’s RubyRed Magic

The Zespri RubyRed results from years of natural breeding by Zespri’s world-leading innovation programme. It’s a testament to how science and nature can come together to deliver taste and health benefits.

Zespri’s commitment to quality has made them the world’s largest kiwifruit marketer. With over 2,800 growers in New Zealand and 1,500 more around the globe, they’re serious about giving people access to delicious, nutritious fruit.

Singapore is home to the Centre of Sales and Marketing Excellence, so it’s no wonder we’re getting first dibs on this premium fruit.

Why Singaporeans Are Loving It

Singaporeans are increasingly turning to healthier snacking options, and the Zespri RubyRed checks all the boxes. It’s easy to prepare, loaded with health benefits, and its bold, berry-sweet taste makes it feel like an indulgence without the guilt.

In a fast-paced city where convenience and wellness go hand in hand, this limited-edition fruit in Singapore is quickly becoming a go-to choice for young adults, families, and anyone who enjoys trying something new and healthy.

Not Just a Fruit—It’s a Trend

RubyRed’s photogenic appearance has also made it a hit on social media. Whether it’s sliced into stars, arranged in smoothie bowls, or snapped in the palm of your hand, its vibrant red hue draws attention online. Search #ZespriRubyRed and you’ll find dozens of mouth-watering ways people enjoy it across the region.

So if you want to add a pop of colour and nutrition to your Instagram feed or weekend grocery run, you know what to look for.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.
