As soon as you pick up the JBL Under Armour wireless headphones, you will know that you are going to experience something extraordinary. The UA wireless headphones is engineered by JBL and designed for athletes. One of the attractiveness of this headphones is the weight. Unlike most sports audio wearables which use thick audio cables, the wired audio cable for this product is thin, yet feels durable. This makes the overall package light weight. With the red Under Armour logo printed on both earbuds, it gives the impression that “I am designed for sports.”

Let’s talk about technical. Both the earbuds are designed huge in size for a good reason – guaranteed no fall out during rigorous physical workouts. This ergonomically fit is patented by JBL and is called the TwistLock Technology. Right in the earbuds, they are equipped with premium 5.8mm dynamic drivers. This gives a wide musical frequency ranging from 10Hz to 22KHz and a better bass response.

Works perfectly well with iOS and Android devices, setting up the Bluetooth connection is seamless. The inline controller has 3 basic buttons to control tracks, volume and take up calls easily. To do a Bluetooth sync, press and hold the center button on the inline controller for more than 5 seconds to establish the wireless connection. At the side of the inline controller lies the micro USB charging port. On a single charge, you can enjoy up to 8 hours of audio during your workouts.

The JBL Under Armour wireless headphones is designed to have internal and external strain relief. This means that this product can handle a good level of stress during physical workouts. It is also constructed to be IPX5 sweat and splash proof. Impressively, the JBL’s TwistLock Technology fits onto ears comfortably well. On top of that, the silicon material from the enhancers give a good grip. No more earbuds popping out of my ears during my workouts.

What I love most is the JBL sound signature for this wireless headphones. I have tested many wireless headphones and this offers the best clarity, good bass control and comfortable for everyday usage. I find the external noise isolation reasonable for this product. Pack in the box, the JBL Under Armour comes with a soft and waterproof carrying pouch to protect the headphones. The downside of this pouch is dust particles tend to get stuck onto the surface. The JBL Under Armour wireless headphones is priced at $289 SGD and is now selling in CK Tangs.
