October 4th was a breathtaking day for everybody who has watched the video posted by SPCA. A rescue officer from the animal welfare group used a snare to save a trapped kitten stuck on the 12th floor. The owner of the kitten said that his pet could have slipped through a small gap and landed on the ledge. So, it is very important to create a safe home for our pets.

Most of us know that cats are curious animals and they enjoy exploring new places. This might sound crazy, but cats can be very expensive domestic pets too. Here are the top 12 domestic cats around the world with a hefty price tag.

 

#1. Himalayan cat

A hybrid between the Persian and Siamese, This blue eye cat is bred in the US since the 1950s. They are known for their friendliness and their nickname, “Himmie”. Price: US$1,300

#2. Norwegian Forest Cat

Bred by the Vikings more than 1,500 years ago, the Norwegian Forest Cat’s lush grey fur will keep them warm in the cold forest. Price: US$3,000

 

#3. Scottish Fold

Due to a natural dominant-gene mutation, the cartilage affects the ears of this domestic card to fold. Hence, this cat is named Scottish Folds. Price: US$1,500

 

#4. Peterbald

PETERBALD CAT

Slim graceful and muscular build, Peterbarld is first bred in Russian in 1994. It is also known as the Petersburg Sphynix and these domestic cats are known for their sweet-tempered, curiosity and intelligence. Price: US$1,200

Super clever and active, Savannah Cat is a crossed breed between a domestic cat and the African Serval. In May 2012, the International Cat Association accepted the Savannah Cat as a new registered breed. Price: US$22,000
