I had a fruitful learning on understanding blog traffic from Vince Golangco of WhenInManila.com in Migme’s office last Friday. Vince Golangco is the Founder of WhenInManila.com, in which his blog has an estimated of over ten million impressions per day, about six millions viewers per month and very active social network communities with more than one million fans. His web traffic is audited by a global leading digital marketing firm and is ranked top 100 most viewed sites in Philippines by Alexa. That’s a pretty awesome track record I would say.

Dressed up in t-shirt and jeans, Vince hooked up his laptop into the projector and started to share his personal background and digital marketing techniques. I started to take out my notebook and pen to jot down as much information as I could, so that I could also share this knowledge with other people who are interested in growing their internet traffic. He ended his speech by sharing his favorite Michelangelo quote with the audiences:

“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.”

To make information easier to digest for my readers, I have compressed the 1 hour presentation by Vince Golangco into 5 simple steps of understand blog traffic through the use of infographic.
