From May 24 to September 8, 2024, during the school holidays, there will be fun events at Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore. You can enjoy Zoolympix, celebrate Night Safari’s 30th anniversary, and check out the new “Meet the Flock” series at Bird Paradise.
Zoolympix at Singapore Zoo and River Wonders
Zoolympix is making a comeback after a five-year hiatus! From May 25 to August 25, 2024, guests can take part in interactive activities highlighting the amazing natural abilities of animals such as elephants, ring-tailed lemurs, manatees, and archerfish. Test your strength by lifting crates inspired by the mighty elephants, or hop on a bicycle to see how you measure up against the electric eels’ 650-volt charge.
Families can participate in the Zoolympix Challenge by visiting different stations across Singapore Zoo and River Wonders. They can collect exclusive medal-like pins as keepsakes. The newly introduced Champions Village offers fun crafting activities, such as making a Zoolympix torch or a recycled PVC canvas pouch and special encounters with penguins, fennec foxes, or snakes.
Don’t miss the updated animal showcase “Into the Wild” at Singapore Zoo’s amphitheatre. It introduces new species such as the masked palm civet and banded mongoose, alongside familiar faces like the ring-tailed lemur and Asian small-clawed otter.
Celebrate 30 Mystical Years at Night Safari
Night Safari, the world’s first nocturnal wildlife park, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a host of special events. From May 17 to June 23, 2024, residents can buy tickets for just $30 each. Visitors can embark on a digital trail highlighting the park’s history and achievements, view memorabilia, and participate in photo sessions with animal ambassadors such as snakes and owls.
Join special feeding sessions for sloth bears and clouded leopards, create animal enrichment devices at East Lodge, and enjoy a unique fire performance at the Entrance Courtyard. A new walking trail featuring native wildlife and Southeast Asian species, such as the Sunda pangolin and binturong, will also be unveiled.
Meet the Flock at Bird Paradise
Bird Paradise introduces the “Meet the Flock” series, starting with a parrot-themed event from May 31 to June 30, 2024, celebrating World Parrot Day.
Visitors can enjoy a behind-the-scenes Parrot Guided Tour (Lite), attend Parrot Keeper Talks, and explore a self-guided trail to earn exclusive parrot pins and a lanyard.
