Pancakes. They are perfect for any occasion because adults and children love them. They are fluffy, tender in the middle and crispy on the edges. Best of all, pancakes are stackable. During this last week of 2016, my wife and I decided to whip up a stack of fruity pancakes for lunch. Thanks to Tefal’s Expertise Pan, we can prepare our pancakes oil-free with Tefal’s non-stick innovation.

Tefal is more than just a popular household cookware brand. My Mum trusts Tefal’s cookware because they are made durable. This year, Tefal improves it’s Expertise cookware range with Titanium. This metal is known for its high strength and high resistance to corrosion.

On the top of the pan, Tefal made it’s non-stick technology tested free of lead and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). This makes the cooking of family meals safer and healthier. Beneath this non-stick coating, there is a Titanium inclusion. Known as Titanium Excellence, Tefal also made the base out of Titanium so that it is ultra-resistant and superb durability. With this, Tefal has proven that its Expertise cookware could last up to 12 years of everyday intensive cooking.

Despite my 28 cm pan is heavy, Tefal has designed a robust steel handle with a stainless insert which is sleek and gives a good grip. Tefal has also reinvented its signature red Thermo-Spot technology with new design and better temperature indication.

When comes to pancake making, the Thermo-Spot technology plays a critical role. We need to know when the pan is ready so that we can pour the batter into the pan. With the non-stick technology, it makes pancakes flipping easy!

Directions of Betty Crocker Complete Pancake Mix

  • To make 6 to 7 pancakes, mix 1 cup of pancake mix to 3/4 cup of water.
  • Mix the pancake mix with water until the batter is smooth.
  • Heat up the Tefal Expertise pan until the Thermo-Spot turns fully red. Make sure the heat is set to medium-high.
  • Scoop the pancake batter onto the hot pan.
  • Cook, until bubbles break on surface and edges, start turning brown. Flip and cook for 1 minute or until golden brown.

Along with the release of Tefal’s Expertise cookware, Tefal also released the Character cookware which uses Titanium Pro and an ergonomic XXL handle. The price tag for Tefal Expertise Fry Pan is from $79.90 to $105.00, while the price tag for Tefal Character Fry pan is from $49.90 to $69.90.
