An unconventional spin on the popular traditional flavour, Liu Ren (Mixed Nuts with Olive Kernel) makes its debut at Old Seng Choong. Generously studded with olive kernels, in addition to five kinds of mixed nuts – walnuts, almonds, melon seeds, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, each mooncake is also infused with the savoury nuances of Bak Kwa. This flavourful blend exudes a finely-balanced savoury-sweet note on the palate.

A harmonious combination of earthy taro and sweet pumpkin, this well-loved combination is sure to please the ‘orh nee’ lovers. This rendition comprises an indulgent and creamy taro paste with a pumpkin “yolk” centre which resembles the full moon – a symbol of reunion and happiness; bringing double the joy.

Back by popular demand, this decadent treat chockfull of smoky hand-chopped Bak Kwa in a red lotus paste with a touch of premium black truffle oil proffers an intense and more savoury than sweet profile. This addictive gem is elegantly cloaked in charcoal-black and beautifully accentuated with a gold brushstroke.

White Lotus Paste with Yolk Blend 蛋黄馅白莲蓉, $70.80 (Box of 8)

The iconic White Lotus Paste with Yolk Blend stars an even layer of impeccably smooth salted egg yolk blend – this time-honoured signature is a firm favourite among the young and old.

The exquisite treats are presented in an intricately-designed box dressed in vibrant peach and blue hues and adorned with befitting illustrations. Taking centre-stage on the gorgeous box design this year is a meaningful mandarin phrase strikingly embossed in gold – 海上升明月,天涯共此时 – symbolising reunion and a time when family and loved ones rekindle conversations under the same moonlight, together or apart.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
