This June school holiday, Singapore’s largest outdoor garden event is here! Hosted at Gardens By The Bay, Aviva Superfundae 2016 is a one day event which happens only once a year. Focusing on families, Aviva Superfundae is all about giving yourself a day off and spend quality family time. A quick look on the goodie bags and prizes, they are sponsored and supported by many familiar brands including Haribo, Johnsons & Johnsons, Club Med and Hasbro.

With the invitation from the event organiser Imagine+, we decided to head down to this family funival on our Saturday afternoon. This is going to be the best kids activities for this June holiday. With light rain and cloudy skies throughout the whole day, our moods were not dampened and Kayden looks forward to see his favourite Transformer character, Bumble Bee.

What To Expect In Aviva Superfundae 2016 On June 4th

The Aviva Superfundae 2016 is layout into 4 main fun zones: Pirate zone, Jungle zone, Dream Castle zone and Circus zone. There were two entrances and exits, one at the Pirate zone leading to Meadow gate carpark and Circus Centre zone leading to Bayfront MRT station. With an open play area of 22,000 sqm, this family event is packed with more than 30 games and activities starting from 10am to 9pm. The elements of the activities are Connective Play, Active Play and Creative Play. The Connective Play is about communication skills and emotional wellbeing. Active Play is about psychomotor skills and individual fitness. Finally, Creative Play refers to imaginations and creativity.

The Circus zone is where all the exciting stage activities happen. One of the main activities happening in this zone was the hourly Candy Cannon Blasts by Haribo and stage games for the children like the Transformers game by Hasbro.

The Speedy Zone is all about stretching your muscles. From Daddy Donut Dash to skate scooters, everybody can stretch their leg muscles and get ready for that speedy movements.

Located up the slope is the Dream Castle zone where children can unleashed their creativity in Kaboodle Play and arts and crafts ideas with Mosaic Workshop, Jay Jay Jolly and Da Little Arts.

Parents, do remember to bring some extra clothing and clean towels if you are planning to play in the Pirate zone. This ultimate and get wet fun zone is all about Super Soakers and Mini Water Slides. All the children love this zone.

Welcome to the jungle and time to do things like what the jungle people always do. Jump N’ Grab goodies hanging from the sky and cross obstacles in the Numakiki Jungle like what Mowgli did from the Jungle Book.

With live acoustic music performances in the Pasarbella tentage, everyone can dine in and relax. Finally at 7:15pm, there is a Movie Under The Stars with the movie screening of Kungfu Panda 3.

My Aviva Superfundae 2016 Experiences

Reaching at 2pm, we entered the event with our entrance tickets scanned and redeemed our Superfundae goodie bag. Each child can redeem a goodie bag, while each adult can redeem a snack voucher. We headed down for the Candy Cannon Blasts which is going to start at 2:10pm. Located at the Circus Centre and sponsored by Haribo, this event is all about blasting out lots and lots of gummy bears packs for everyone to grab. We only managed to grab 2 packs of gummy bears because the audience were rowdy and pushy. I am glad that no one was hurt during this event.

Next, we headed down to the Transformers Challenges located in the Circus Centre zone. The games include balancing the ball to prevent it from falling into the holes and memory card game. The games are more suitable for children of more than 6 years old as they require more body coordinations and movements.

The Skate Scooter Challenge was fun for Kayden. Despite he can only scoot for two rounds in a short distance, he still enjoys it very much. Next, we headed down to the Jump N’ Grab to stretch Kayden out a little and the Squiggly Car was a really tiring but fun car activity. All you need to do for the Squiggly Car to move is to keep turning the steering wheel. Unfortunately, all the children prefer to push their cars instead.

Superfundae 2016

This year, Aviva brings back many fun games and activities from Superfundae 2015. Due to the light drizzle of rain, the grasses were wet and the walkways were filled with puddle of water. I am glad to say the whole event turned out well and hope to see more new kids and family activities next year in Superfundae 2017.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
