Very much influenced by my wife and myself, Kayden enjoys photography. Snapping away with his Fujifilm camera and iPad, he enjoys placing his favourite toys in a photogenic way and captures the best angle he could possibly get. In order for my little boy to role play as a photographer, my wife and I brought him to KidZania Singapore together with Claudia from thelovingmum.sg.

What Makes KidZania Singapore World’s First?

As one of the world’s fastest growing edutainment brands, KidZania is a children theme park where every child can role play a great variety of careers, learn to be more confident, discover themselves and understand money management. This is a great learning theme park for children aged 4 to 17 years old, where their curiosity and imagination are at its peak.

With a total of 24 theme parks around the world, KidZania Singapore is the 23rd theme park opened on April 12, 2016. The first KidZania was opened in Mexico City in September 1999. Delhi and Doha will be the next two locations to open KidZania in May 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Situated at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach, KidZania Singapore is an 81,000 square feet indoor city for children and is the first KidZania theme park to be located on an island. KidZania Singapore is also the first to house a full-wing fuselage Boeing 737 from Qatar Airways.

Every KidZania is different as each theme park are designed based on geography, culture and profession. Therefore in KidZania Singapore, you will get to see many familiar brands such as KFC, Lim Chee Guan, The Soup Spoon, KISS 92FM, Singapore Police Force and Mount Elizabeth. Every collaboration is carefully crafted for realism and authenticity, just like the real working world.

How KidZania Singapore Works

The concept of KidZania Singapore is really easy to understand. In the world of KidZania, children can choose the jobs they would like to be and earn KidZos (the currency for KidZania). With KidZos, children can spend them in the gift shops and on KidZania activities.

Untitled

As the KidZania city is as huge as 8 Olympic sized swimming pools, each child is required to wear an electronic RFID bracelet which allows parents to track their children. Before any activities, the child would need to scan the bracelet as part of registration.

In every job, there will be a Zupervisors, whom will train and gives instructions to the children. Each job will be 45 minutes and there is a limit of participants for each job. This information is clearly indicated at the signboards of every shop. Remember to say “Kai”, which means “Hello” in the world of KidZania.

I Am A Happy Canon Photojournalist

To all photo enthusiasts, you will be excited to know that Canon has a shop in KidZania! It is known as Canon Imaging Academy.

Before Kayden and his other little friends embark on experiencing being a Canon Photojournalist, he would need to put on a Canon vest which made him totally smart looking.

The Canon Imaging Academy Zupervisor will hand each child a Canon DSLR and educate them how to operate the camera. Peek into the viewfinder, point onto the subject and press the shoot button.

After an introduction of 10 minutes, the Zupervisor by bringing these photojournalists around the KidZania world and shoot 3 subjects using their Canon DSLR. Once the mission is accomplished, the photojournalist is awarded a certificate! This is so cute!

Final Thoughts About KidZania Singapore

Love it! From food scientist in Abbott’s milk innovation lab to pilot in Qatar Airways ‘ Aviation Academy, every child can be whatever they dream to be.

To avoid disappointment, it is important that you book your tickets at least 1 days in advance online. I would advise parents to Google for “KidZania Singapore” to track the popular timings to avoid the crowd.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
