A lot of people, particularly parents, are more conscious about the items that they buy, wanting to be more health-conscious, environment-conscious, and animal-conscious. This can be quite difficult when you love fast food, though. A lot of the time, that kind of food simply doesn’t look appetizing, though. And sometimes, they don’t taste that great. Burger King has proven that wrong. Whether you’re more conscious about your consumption or are a vegetarian looking for your next indulgent meal, the King has brought a plant-based Whopper to his Singapore menu.

Of course, Burger King doesn’t just bring in any ordinary plant-based patty to sandwich in between those
fluffy buns of iconic Whopper awesomeness. They have gone out of their way to find the juiciest, lip-smackingly good patty in town. And they have succeeded in finding it in a patty from plant-based meat brand, The Vegetarian Butcher. The luscious, flame-grilled patty takes pride of place in Burger King latest Whopper variation: plant-based Whopper ($6.90) now available in restaurants across Singapore while stocks last.

Although this burger is perfect for flexitarians looking for plant-based meat options, as well as those looking to reduce animal meat consumption; it actually tastes so juicy and delicious that even meat lovers will want to bite into its smokey goodness on a regular basis.

The plant-based Whopper gets served up in true Whopper style. Served between toasted sesame buns, and topped with freshly sliced tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions, the plant-based patties are cooked on Burger King’s signature broiler and have all the flame-grilled goodness you know and love from the makers of the iconic Whopper. You just need to try it to believe how good it tastes.

Irene Tay, Marketing Director, Burger King Singapore, says, “We are very excited to finally bring the plant-based Whopper to Singapore. We received many requests from local fans who have been waiting for it to arrive at our restaurants, especially after they’ve seen the plant-based Whopper in other countries. This is the first time Burger King Singapore is introducing a plant-based burger and also one that is definitely worth the wait.”

Didier Chanove, Head of Marketing at Unilever Food Solutions and Asia Business Development Lead for The Vegetarian Butcher, says, “We cannot wait for everyone to try Burger King Singapore’s new plant-based Whopper! We’ve worked very closely with the Burger King team to develop the plant-based Whopper patty and to nail the iconic flame-grilled taste and experience to make sure we give diners in Singapore the chance to try the tastiest plant-based burger in town – all while being kind to the environment.”

You can also enjoy Home Delivery Plant-based Whopper Bundles in the comforts of your own homes that are exclusively available on delivery platforms. Let us know what you think after trying it!

*Plant-based WHOPPER® does not contain animal meat but its plant-based patty is cooked in the same
broiler as animal meat patties.
