June is Father’s Day month, a time to celebrate and appreciate our dads with a special meal. If you’re searching for a memorable dining experience, I recommend the buffet at Element Restaurant at Amara Singapore Hotel. In this review and experience, I will share what you can expect, focusing on the special offerings of Father’s Day. Let’s dive into my Amara Element buffet review and see why this could be the perfect spot for your Amara Father’s Day buffet celebration.

Amara Singapore: Arrival and Ambiance

On a cooling Saturday evening, I brought my family, including my two kids, Kayden and Nathan, to experience the buffet at Element. Conveniently located on the first level of Amara Singapore at 165 Tanjong Pagar Road, 088539 Singapore, the journey was smooth with no traffic jams, as this area belongs to the CBD and tends to be quieter on weekends. The restaurant’s ambience is welcoming and sophisticated, providing a comfortable setting for a family gathering. The Father’s Day special added a festive touch, making it a fitting choice for celebrating dads.

Starters: A Seafood Extravaganza

The buffet spread at Element starts strong with an impressive array of starters, especially if your dad is a seafood enthusiast. The selection includes:

  • Poached tiger prawns
  • Chilean black mussels
  • Fresh oysters
  • Alaskan snow crab
  • Poached Boston lobsters
  • Assorted sashimi
  • Gourmet meat & cheese platter

This section is a paradise for seafood lovers. My favourites from the starters were the poached tiger prawns and poached Boston lobsters, which were fresh and succulent. Although I’m not a big fan of raw seafood, I can appreciate the variety and quality offered. The cheese platter was a delightful addition, providing a nice balance to the seafood options.

Main Course: Hearty and Flavorful

The main course offerings at Element are where the buffet truly shines, especially if your dad enjoys hearty, flavorful dishes. The Father’s Day special menu includes:

  • Cajun-style sirloin steak
  • Moroccan-spiced New Zealand lamb chops
  • Gourmet herbed pork sausages
  • Grilled saba fillets
  • Jumbo prawns
  • Meat lover’s pizza
  • Hungarian goulash
  • German crispy pork knuckle

The Cajun-style sirloin steak was perfectly cooked and tender. The Moroccan-spiced lamb chops were a hit with their tender meat. One of the standout dishes was the German crispy pork knuckle – crispy on the outside yet juicy and tender inside; it did not disappoint. The jumbo prawns were grilled to perfection, and the kids particularly enjoyed the gourmet herbed pork sausages.

Kayden, my eldest, couldn’t get enough of the pasta. He devoured two large plates—first with tomato sauce and then with cream sauce. Nathan enjoyed his cream sauce pasta but was more thrilled with the boiled chicken and roast pork belly. Seeing them enjoy their meal was truly heartwarming.

Desserts: Sweet Endings

To conclude the meal, Element offers a delightful dessert spread. The highlight for me was the D24 Durian Pengat with Gula Melaka – a rich, creamy dessert that durian lovers will appreciate. The dessert line also includes:

  • Ice cream
  • Various cakes (some containing alcohol, so be sure to read the labels)
  • Nonya kuehs
  • Bobo chacha

Each dessert was well-presented and provided a sweet ending to the sumptuous meal.

Local Delights and Kid-Friendly Options

Beyond the Father’s Day specials, the Element buffet offers a decent spread of local delights, adding a nice touch of Singaporean flavour. Some of the notable mentions include:

  • Mee Rebus
  • Chili Crab
  • Wu Xiang Xia Bing
  • A variety of Nonya kuehs

Element ensures plenty of kid-friendly dishes for families with kids, such as seafood pasta, fried rice, and fried chicken mid-wing. These options ensure that even the little ones will have something delicious to enjoy.

As a dad who enjoys more local delights, I hope Element at Amara Singapore can include other dishes such as Satay, Chendol, Bak Kut Teh, Kueh Pie Tee, and Laksa. These additions would make the buffet more appealing and cater to a wider range of local tastes.

Overall Experience

I had a great time at the Element Restaurant’s buffet. The wide variety and high quality of the food, especially the Father’s Day special, made it a memorable meal. The seafood starters, satisfying main courses, and delicious desserts catered to everyone’s tastes. The restaurant’s atmosphere, along with the friendly service, added to the overall dining experience.

🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
