  5. My Neighbour Totoro

There are a lot of great anime titles out there; but if you’ve watched a lot of anime, you’ll know that some of them can be pretty gory, violent, and even sexual. If you want to enjoy anime with your kids but want to make sure that they don’t pick up any bad words or behaviours, here are 5 anime titles that you can watch with them – all of which are child-friendly.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

If you grew up watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, then you might want to start by introducing your kids to this anime. Sharing something from your childhood with your kids is always a pleasant and fun experience as you will be able to share the excitement and energy you have about the show with them. Besides, this uplifting anime is full of positive messages and you’ll also be able to enjoy it in a whole new light now that you’re an adult.

Cardcaptor Sakura

Sakura’s age should be enough to prove that this anime is appropriate for kids. Sakura is an elementary school girl who unintentionally sets a series of magical cards free and discovers that she has magical powers in the process. This anime isn’t just fun and action-packed; but if you have little girls in the family, you are sure to appreciate the female empowerment in this anime with a strong girl in the lead.

Haikyuu!!

Got any sports lovers in the family? Haikyuu!! is a volleyball-centric anime about a short boy in junior high school who dreams of becoming a volleyball player. His hard work and the dynamics within the sports teams will offer hours of action and fun for the entire household.

Little Witch Academia

If you’re looking for something action-packed, Little Witch Academia is an exciting anime you can watch with your kids. It involves students who go to a prestigious school for witches and offers a lot of battle scenes and sword fights with mythical creatures. Don’t worry, though. There is absolutely no gore here, making it a good choice to watch even with the little ones.

My Neighbour Totoro

Studio Ghibli is well-known in the world of anime for good reason. They create gorgeous anime films with memorable characters and with great life lessons for the entire family. My Neighbour Totoro is sure to be a hit with your kids for Totoro alone but they are also sure to love the other magical creatures, as well as the family dynamics in the movie.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
