The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) is excited to announce the opening of its latest exhibition, Hello Future: Building a Wonderland, as part of its signature Think! Contemporary Preschool programme. This vibrant showcase, running from 17 August to 7 September 2024 at HarbourFront Centre, presents an inspiring array of imaginative artworks created by young children. The artworks, crafted from everyday materials, reflect environmental awareness and sustainability themes, offering a fresh, child-centric perspective on a greener future for Singapore.

A Journey Through Children’s Imagination and Sustainability

Hello Future: Building a Wonderland features creative pieces by preschoolers inspired by SAM’s ongoing exhibitions such as Olafur Eliasson’s Your Curious Journey and other works at the Learning Gallery. Collaborating with eight preschools, the programme integrates contemporary art into school curricula, using museum visits and exhibitions as educational tools. The children’s works convey their hopes and dreams for a sustainable future, showcasing their ability to transform found materials into meaningful art.
