It’s time for some sweet and new mooncake creations by Peony Jade for this Mid-Autumn Festival. Newly minted Michelin Bib Gourmand Restaurant 2016, Peony Jade is a traditional Szechuan and Cantonese restaurant which first opened it’s doors on September 2004 at Clarke Quay. The restaurant then opened the second outlet at Keppel Club in September 2008. Besides serving quality Chinese cuisines, Peony Jade has an amazing team of pastry chefs who craft not just dim sum, but also their innovative mooncakes. With its major success in baked traditional mooncakes and deep fried Teochew mooncakes back in 2008, Peony Jade is ready to set the market trend with it’s six new flavours to attract everyone this year.

Peony Jade 2016 Mooncakes

Back in my fridge, I kept one of Peony Jade’s new snow skin mooncake creation. Besides its beautiful oriental box design, this is the type of mooncakes which many young generations will love. These mini snow skin mooncakes are prepared using five premium ingredients. They are Dark Valrhona Chocolate, Sea Salt, Peanut Butter, Banana Bits and Feuilletine. With a small bite, you will get to enjoy a wow mixed of sweet and salty flavours, crispy mouthfeel and finally, a bittersweet aftertaste. The price for a box of 8 mini snow skin mooncakes is $62.

Six New Flavours By Peony Jade

Including the mini snow skin mooncake mentioned above, here are the rest of the five new flavours by Peony Jade this year.

Peony Jade Mooncakes

You can purchase Peony Jade’s mooncakes directly from their 2 outlets and 10 shopping malls from 1 August to 15 September. Online purchases can be made at pjmooncakes.com.sg and peonyjade.com from 20 July to 6 September.

The New Baked Creations

Baked with ginger and lemon grass, this healthy mooncake has its skin infused with turmeric and filled with rich in taste lotus paste. With the use of these power foods, this zesty baked mooncake is rich in manganese, iron, fibre, potassium and Vitamin B6. The price for a box of 2 is $37.

Chef Wong, Peony Jade’s Dim Sun Chef, creates his very own baked mooncake called the Mini Mooncake with Molten Matcha and Salted Yolk. Savoury sweet, Chef Wong creates that melt-in-your-mouth creamy eggnog taste in this creation. To truly enjoy this mooncake perfectly is to preheat these mooncakes in the microwave for 3 to 5 seconds before consumption. The price for a box of 8 mooncakes is $62.

The New Snow Skin

Fragrant with rose lychee, these mini snow skin mooncakes with Rose Lychee and Raspberry Jelly Centre has an identical taste from one of our local favourite drink, Bandung. Try these mini mooncakes to reminiscence! The price for a box of 8 mini snow skin mooncakes is $62.

The 4 Heavenly Snow Skin Has A New Addition

Ever since Peony Jade launched it’s 4 Heavenly Snow Skin mooncakes, it has always been one of the top sellers. These 4 flavours are Mao Shan Wang Durian, Premium Cempedak, Mango Sago and Pomelo. This year, Chef Wong added a new family member, the Wild Blueberries Yoghurt. Light and refreshingly creamy, Chef Wong chooses true flavours rather than adding sugars into this new creation. The price for a box of 4 Heavenly Snow Skin mooncakes is $76.

The New Character Mooncake “StUNNed-Like-Vegetable”

Peony Jade comes out with this limited edition snow skin mooncake named “StUNNed-Like-Vegetable”. This new creation is filled with luscious Salted Dark Valrhona Chocolate, Feuilletine and Milk Rocher. Limited with 300 boxes, this snow skin mooncake requires advance order. The price for a box of 4 snow skin mooncakes is $72.

The Signature Mooncake

Using 100% premium Mao Shan Wang Durian from Pahang, these pesticide-free grown durians are wrapped inside the chewy and soft green organic pandan snow skin. There is no need to elaborate further on this signature mooncake because it has been voted the Best Durian Mooncake in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The price for a box of 2 is $52.

The traditional baked less-sugar mooncakes and the classic flaky Teochew mooncakes will still be available this mid-autumn festival. The traditional mooncakes will be $37 for a box of 2 and the classic Teochew mooncakes will be $38 for a box of 2.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
