I’m excited for Ocean Fest’s comeback at S.E.A. Aquarium, themed “Righting the Future.” It beautifully merges education with entertainment, spotlighting marine life through underwater photography and promoting ocean conservation. It’s a superb chance for both families and individuals to connect with marine biodiversity.

Resorts World Sentosa’s S.E.A. Aquarium is thrilled to announce the return of Ocean Fest for its fifth year, running from May 20 to July 19. This year’s theme, “Righting the Future,” coincides with World Oceans Day, inviting visitors to dive into an immersive journey that blends exploration, education, and awe.

Celebrate Singapore’s Aquatic Wonders Through Photography

One of the festival’s highlights is an underwater photography gallery by award-winning Singaporean photographer Toh Xing Jie. His work, which garnered top honours at the 2023 Nature Photographer of the Year awards, showcases Singapore’s vibrant yet often overlooked marine life. Visitors can expect stunning close-ups of creatures like gobies and rare nudibranchs, revealing the hidden beauty of local waters.

Interactive Marine Conservation Arcade Game

Engage in marine conservation with an innovative twist through the Marine Conservation Quest, a pinball-inspired arcade game crafted entirely from recycled materials. Created by local artisans Paper Carpenter, this game challenges players to navigate marine animals through an ocean of trash, emphasizing the importance of ocean protection playfully and memorably.

Insightful Talks by Marine Experts

The festival features a series of expert talks at the Ocean Dome and online on May 18, May 25, and June 21. These sessions will delve into fascinating topics such as the defence mechanisms of calcareous worms, the diversity of marine isopods, and the significance of horseshoe crabs, often referred to as “living fossils.” Notable speakers include Dr Elena Kupriyanova from the Australian Museum, Dr Conni Sidabalok from Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency, and Mr Lester Tan from the Nature Society Singapore.

Community Stories and Dreams of the Sea

A unique video wall will display personal narratives from Singaporeans, sharing their memorable ocean encounters and conservation efforts. These stories, ranging from swimming with sea turtles to participating in beach clean-ups, aim to foster a deeper connection with the marine environment and inspire collective action for its preservation.

International Horseshoe Crab Conservation Workshop

Aligning with International Horseshoe Crab Day on June 20, the aquarium will host the 5th International Workshop on the Science and Conservation of Horseshoe Crabs. Visitors can learn about these ancient creatures, their ecological importance, and the ongoing conservation efforts, including developing synthetic alternatives to horseshoe crab blood.

Join the Festivities

Ocean Fest 2024 promises many activities and exhibits designed to enlighten and inspire. Admission to the event is included with the regular S.E.A. Aquarium tickets, priced at $41 for adults and $31 for children. Seats for the expert talks are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with options to join online as well.

Dive into Ocean Fest at S.E.A. Aquarium and be part of a movement to right the future for our oceans.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
