Finally, I found a great place to chill, enjoy delicious American food with warm hospitality. Calling themselves “Home Of Sticky Bones”, Morganfield’s is located at Suntec City, next to Promenade MRT station. This restaurant has a beautiful decor, comfortable atmosphere, a good drink list and delicious menu. As the slogan goes, Morganfield’s specialises in old fashion Southern-style barbecue prime pork ribs.

Morganfield’s is serious about grilling their prime pork ribs. Using hickory wood, the pork ribs are grilled to a smoky and bacon-like flavor. Since the prime pork ribs are of large cuts, hickory wood makes the best smoking option.

Claiming to be Morganfield’s most popular pork ribs is the Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones (Full Slab $41.90 / Half Slab $27.90). Slowly cooked with hickory smoke and spread with Hickory BBQ sauce, my huge full slab of Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones is extremely tender, juicy and mouth watering.

Black peppers fans will surely love the Smoker Peppercorn Sticky Bones (Full Slab $41.90 / Half Slab $27.90).

This is my personal pork rib favorite, the Garlic BBQ Sticky Bones (Full Slab $41.90 / Half Slab $27.90). The small dices of garlic spread on top on the barbecued pork ribs bring out the garlicky aroma with a sweet and spicy taste.

I find the Spicy Asian BBQ Sticky Bones (Full Slab $41.90 / Half Slab $27.90) rather unique. By adding the East Meets West flavor, I get to enjoy the best of Southern style grilling and the taste of oriental flavor.

The above four Sticky Bones are served with different sides: French Fries and Coleslaw, French Fries and Garden Salad and Mashed Potatoes and Garden Veggies.

Although Morganfield’s is famous for their barbecue and smoking of prime pork ribs, they also serve a wide range of seafood and poultry. This gives their diners more choices to choose from.

If you miss Australia’s Fish and Chips, then Morganfield’s Beer Battered Fish Fillets ($19.90) is a delicious seafood treat you can’t miss. Using Morganfield’s house made beer batter, the Hoki fish fillet is crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside. Squeeze the slice of lemon makes it totally wonderful.

Mac & Cheese is one of the best comfort food around the world. Served with delectable crayfish chunks, who can resist the cheesy Crayfish Mac & Cheese ($23.90).

Untitled

Burger lovers, remember to check out the Smokehouse Bacon Cheeseburger ($22.90) and Chicken BLT ($19.90). Packed inside Smokehouse Bacon Cheeseburger is a juicy beef patty grilled with Hickory BBQ sauce and topped with crispy pork bacon is delightful. Using buttered sesame bun, the Chicken BLT is sandwiched with chargrilled boneless chicken thigh and topped with honey mustard. Both burgers are served with French Fries.

Bite-sized and served with homemade Garlic Aioli and BBQ Ranch Sauce, the basket of Pop Corn Pork ($9.90) looks similar to Pop Corn Chicken. Probably the main difference is the Pop Corn Pork is tastier because of Morganfield’s secret spice mix.

I am going to end my lunch with Morganfield’s mouthwatering desserts. Both desserts that I had has one thing in common: the balance of hot and cold. The Chocolate Lave Cake ($14.90) is perfect for chocolate lovers. That rich molten chocolate inside the warm chocolate cake is divine. Topped with vanilla ice-cream, the warm Bread Pudding ($9.90) is really soft and has a hint of whiskey aftertaste.

Morganfield’s is one of the F&B merchants on the Entertainer App offering one-for-one main courses and it is a great place for delicious American Southern style food. If you love pork ribs, Morganfield’s is definitely the restaurant in your checklist. Worth checking out if you are in the area!
