Income Insurance has announced the return of Income Eco Run (IER) 2026, its flagship sustainability event, taking place on 19 April 2026 at the Bayfront Event Space. Building on the momentum of previous editions, the carbon-neutral run continues to rally the community around climate-positive action under its enduring theme, “How Far Will You Go for Zero Waste?”
A Run for Everyone

Designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, this year’s edition expands its distance options to welcome even more participants across all ages, including children and pets.
Alongside the 21.1KM, 15KM, 10KM, 5KM and 3KM categories, young runners aged 4 to 9 can take part in the 700M Kids Dash, while those aged 10 to 12 can step up to a new 1.2KM challenge. The Pets Category also features 700M and 1.2KM options for both dogs and cats, with up to two owners per pet.
These additions reinforce IER as a run for everyone, bringing families, children and pet owners together through shared sustainable experiences.
Turning Kilometres into Climate Action
Beyond the race routes, Income Eco Run 2026 continues to drive meaningful climate action. Income Insurance will donate $1 for every kilometre clocked during the event in support of a green cause.
Since its inception in 2023, the run has drawn close to 14,000 participants, clocked more than 150,000 kilometres and raised $160,000 to support environmental and educational initiatives. Each stride goes beyond personal achievement, contributing to tangible environmental impact.
Zero-Waste by Design
Sustainability remains deeply embedded in the event’s design. Zero-waste practices include the use of compostable plastic-free paper cups at hydration points, smaller run bibs to reduce paper consumption and encouragement for participants to wear their own orange tees as part of a clothing reuse initiative.
Organic waste such as banana peels and pet waste will be composted by ENTO Industries, while e-medals replace physical medals to reduce material waste. Kids’ medals are crafted from upcycled plastic bottle caps, reinforcing the circular approach taken by the event.
In 2025 alone, 41,000 plastic-free cups and banana peels were diverted from landfills and composted, enabling significantly more waste to be converted into organic fertilisers. Over the past three years, 1,348KG of source materials have been saved through the use of recycled materials for event T-shirts and kids’ medals.
Beyond Event Day: The Eco Experience
Extending its impact beyond race day, IER 2026 introduces new Eco Experience learning journeys for children and families.
Participants can explore how e-waste is recycled at ALBA’s facility, observe composting processes at ENTO Industries, or join interactive sustainability sessions led by WWF-Singapore at FairPrice’s flagship sustainable store. These curated excursions are designed to nurture eco-conscious habits from a young age and deepen understanding of the circular economy.
Reinforcing Reuse Through Design

To further reinforce its reuse philosophy, IER 2026 offers an optional sustainability-themed event tee created in collaboration with local illustrator Tammy Chew. Made from recycled water bottles and designed for continued wear beyond event day, the tee reflects the run’s long-standing “wear-your-own-tee” ethos.
