When was the last time a shopping trip genuinely felt like an adventure? IKEA Singapore is making that happen this June with a month-long Play Date campaign that includes a Hide and Seek competition with 1,000,000 IKEA Family points up for grabs, a golden ball hunt across all stores, weekly food-themed parties, and free kids’ meals on weekdays. If you have been looking for a reason to head to IKEA beyond a flat-pack furniture run, this is it.

The Play Date campaign runs throughout June 2026 across IKEA Alexandra, IKEA Tampines, and IKEA Jurong, and it is built around the kind of activities that work just as well for families with young children as they do for anyone who enjoys a bit of friendly competition.
The Hide and Seek Competition at IKEA Alexandra

The centrepiece of the Play Date campaign is the Hide and Seek competition at IKEA Alexandra on 6 and 7 June 2026. This is not a casual game. Professional hiders will be camouflaged within the store, and teams of two must find all of them to be in with a chance of winning 1,000,000 IKEA Family points, which is equivalent to $10,000 in value.
Participation is limited to 200 teams, so registration is essential. Sign-ups opened from 14 May 2026 at the IKEA Singapore website. If you have not already registered, checking availability as soon as possible is the sensible move.
The concept is straightforward and genuinely fun, particularly if you enjoy a challenge. Finding professional hiders in a maze of room setups, kitchens, and wardrobes is harder than it sounds, and the prize makes it more than worth the effort.
The Golden Ball Hunt Across All Stores
Running from 1 to 21 June 2026, the Golden Ball Search Party is a separate activity open to anyone visiting IKEA during their regular shopping trips. Seventy golden balls are hidden across IKEA stores, and finding one could earn you anything from food rewards to a $1,000 IKEA gift card. Terms and conditions apply, but the hunt is open throughout the three-week window rather than being a single-day event, which means multiple chances to find one on different visits.
This is the kind of activity that turns a standard IKEA visit into something the kids will actually look forward to rather than endure. Keeping your eyes open while browsing through the store adds a layer of excitement that is hard to replicate with a regular shopping trip.
Weekly Food Parties Every Weekend in June
IKEA is also running themed food parties every weekend in June across all three stores, with a different crowd-favourite item taking the spotlight each week.
Hot Dog Party runs on 6 June at IKEA Tampines and IKEA Jurong, and on 7 June at IKEA Alexandra. Ice Cream Party follows the next weekend on 13 June at IKEA Tampines, 14 June at IKEA Alexandra, and 14 June at IKEA Jurong. Chicken Wing Party wraps up the month on 20 June at IKEA Tampines, 21 June at IKEA Alexandra, and 21 June at IKEA Jurong. All food party sessions run from 1pm to 5pm at each location.
These are easy, low-effort outings that pair well with the golden ball hunt. Head in for the food party, keep an eye out for golden balls while you are there, and make a proper afternoon of it.
Free Kids’ Meals on Weekdays Throughout June
For IKEA Family members, kids eat free on weekdays throughout the entire month of June 2026. The children’s meal options include organic penne pasta with tomato sauce and mixed vegetables with juice, five plant balls with mashed potato and mixed vegetables with juice, and five Swedish meatballs with mashed potato and mixed vegetables with juice.

This is available for dine-in from 1 to 30 June and is exclusively for IKEA Family members, so making sure your membership is active before visiting is worth doing. If you are not yet a member, joining is free.
There is also a Mixed Ball Platter available at the IKEA Swedish Restaurant throughout June at the IKEA Family price of $7.90, down from the usual $10.40. The platter includes three falafel balls, three Swedish meatballs, three plant balls, and a crunchy almond chocolate cake, and is available while stocks last.
A Proper Family Month at IKEA
Between the Hide and Seek competition, the golden ball hunt, the weekend food parties, and the weekday kids’ meal offer, June 2026 is genuinely one of the better months IKEA Singapore has put together for families.
