Mid-Autumn festival is celebrated in the 15th of the 8th month of Chinese lunar calendar. After Chinese New Year, the Mid-Autumn festival is the largest festival in China. There is a tradition in which on the day of the festival, people will sacrifice their mooncake to the moon as an offering and consume it as a form of celebration.
