Stripe, the financial infrastructure platform renowned for its innovative solutions for businesses, has announced a new partnership with Accor. Accor, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies with over 40 hotel brands spread across 5,600 locations in more than 110 countries, has selected Stripe as its primary payments partner globally.
Accor’s vision extends beyond traditional hotel stays, aiming to create a comprehensive ecommerce platform that offers a wide array of services. This includes spa services, dining experiences, and unique adventures, all seamlessly integrated into their booking system. The partnership with Stripe allows Accor to consolidate its payment processes, simplifying the booking experience for guests and streamlining the internal redistribution of funds for various services.
Previously, Accor relied on multiple payment gateways managed by different providers. The transition to Stripe means implementing a centralized system for all online bookings across its extensive portfolio. This change has already yielded positive results, with a significant increase in net conversion rates at the checkout step for prepaid bookings on its ecommerce channels. These improvements have translated into noticeable topline gains for individual hotels.
Stripe’s centralized payment system not only enhances the guest experience by making the booking process smoother but also supports Accor’s internal financial operations, allowing for more efficient fund management based on the diverse services offered.
