The Singapore Night Festival (SNF) 2023, proudly presented by Samsung, has officially burst onto the scene, transforming the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct into a mesmerizing wonderland of over 50 captivating experiences. Get ready to immerse yourself in the magic of projection mappings, Night Lights installations, electrifying performances, guided tours, and so much more.

Singapore, the Great Port City: A Journey Through Time and Culture

This year, the festival takes you on an illuminating journey under the theme “Singapore, the Great Port City.” SNF 2023 beautifully unfolds the narrative of Singapore’s evolution from a bustling port city to the vibrant modern metropolis we know today. It’s a celebration of heritage, innovation, and the ever-changing spirit of this dynamic nation.

Step into the Groovy ’60s and ’70s with Time is a Black Circle

Prepare to be transported through time as the highlight act of the festival, “Time is a Black Circle” by Dawn Ng, plunges you headfirst into the disco era of the ’60s and ’70s. Dance your way into a cylindrical “disco time portal,” where you can roller skate and relive the pulsating energy of a bygone era. Prefer to keep your feet firmly planted? Opt for the non-skating option and dive into an immersive multisensory experience that resurrects the psychedelic colors and nostalgic tunes of the discothèque era.

A Symphony of Projections: 700 Years of Singapore’s History

Thanks to the creative minds of playwright Zizi Majid, illustrator Muhammad Izdi, and digital artist Jérémie Bellot (AV Extended), the captivating projection mapping “700 Years” takes festival-goers on a breathtaking six-minute theatrical journey through Singapore’s illustrious 700-year history as a port city.
