This year, NTUC is set to make a spectacular return with the NTUC x NDP Bay Celebrations, celebrating Singaporean youth in a grand fashion. Scheduled for August 3 and August 9, 2024, at the Promontory @ Marina Bay, this event marks the first large-scale National Day celebration organized by NTUC at this iconic location in nearly a decade.
Spotlight on Youth: Celebrate SG Youths
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Celebrate SG Youths,” highlighting the achievements, potential, and contributions of young Singaporeans. NTUC reaffirms its commitment to co-creating a future where #EveryYouthMatters, recognizing the vital role of youths in shaping the nation’s future.
Performances by Home-Grown Young Talent
In partnership with SAFRA, the NTUC Bay Celebrations will feature an impressive lineup of established and emerging young talents. Highlights include:
- Iman Fandi: Renowned for her rendition of “Bunga Sayang” at last year’s NDP.
- Shye: Captivated audiences with “The Road Ahead” at NDP 2021.
- Yung Raja, 53A, DJ Red, ShiLi and Adi: Bringing energetic performances.
- The Jazzlings: A young jazz collective.

Symbolic Moment: “In a Heartbeat”
A unique feature of the celebrations will be the “In a Heartbeat” moment. This segment will see attendees expressing their solidarity and love for Singapore as One United People. Singer-songwriter Shye, The Jazzlings, and DJ Red will perform a special rendition of Kit Chan’s “Home,” with the crowd singing along and red LED lights pulsating from their wristbands to create a collective heartbeat.
Youth Heartbeat Photo Challenge
From June 24 to August 9, 2024, a “Youth Heartbeat” photo challenge will encourage youths to submit photos of themselves making a heart gesture. Selected photos will be compiled into a video collage showcased during the symbolic moment, with the top 10 most creative submissions winning attractive prizes.
Interactive Installations and Inclusive Activities
The celebrations will feature several engaging activities, including:
- “Ties That Bind” Installation: Attendees can write wishes and aspirations for Singapore on cards and attach them to a display symbolizing unity and strength.
- Photobooth and “Memory Lane”: Interactive photo booths will capture fun moments, with photos hung on the “Memory Lane” installation as a collective memory board.
Live Broadcast and Immersive National Day Experience
Attendees can enjoy a live broadcast of the National Day Parade, collect NDP Packs, and participate in the pledge moment. Highlights include:
- State Flag Flypast
- “Salute to the Nation” bomb burst by the Republic of Singapore Air Force
- Presidential Gun Salute sail-past
- Total Defence 40 (TD40) Dynamic Defence Display (D3) High-Speed Chase
- Fireworks Display
Exclusive NTUC Booth and Merchandise
NTUC will showcase its initiatives supporting youth aspirations in work, life, and play. Activities will promote community care, with participants receiving exclusive Umoji merchandise and friendship bracelets. Ticket Information
The public can apply for a pair of tickets to the NTUC Bay Celebrations from June 24 to July 8, 2024, via the official website. Successful applicants will be notified by July 15, 2024, with ticket collection from July 19 to 21, 2024, at Atrium, Level One, Great World.
