Are you considering shipping household goods to Australia from the USA? If that’s the case, you’ll like to read this article. We’ll give you a short list of everything you’ll need to learn to make the journey go well.

Why Should You Ship Your Households to the USA?

You may be considering making the trip on your own to save money. However, it may wind up being more hassle (and money) than it’s worth. Discover why in the following paragraphs.

The Travel Time Is Extremely Long

Even if you start in Washington, driving up to the USA may take more than 43 hours. We wouldn’t recommend driving for 43 hours in a row; if you set aside 8 hours each day for driving, it will take you 5 to 6 days.

Consider all of the accommodations you’ll have to pay for, as well as all of the meals you’ll have to eat out rather than prepare. You’ll almost certainly have to stop for food and beverages along the way. All of these expenses will undoubtedly mount up fast.

Furthermore, the distance from the state is about 2,200 miles. Even if your car gets an excellent gas economy of 30 MPG, you’ll need to fill up on more than 73 gallons of petrol. Plus, you’re putting a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on your vehicle.

Finally, you must evaluate your level of exhaustion. Even if you have someone to talk to, you may get exhausted, particularly if you aren’t accustomed to driving long distances. This may jeopardize your safety while driving.

Two Border Crossings Are Required.

Do you need shipping household goods to Australia from USA? When traveling to the USA, you will not only have to cross the border into Canada, but you will also have to cross the border into the United States once you are in a car. This implies you may have to travel through two border checks, each of which is inconvenient. Not to mention the potential for terrible traffic each time you cross.

When all variables are considered, there is a significant amount of time spent waiting.

Special Equipment May Be Required.

Based on the time of year, you may need to purchase winter tires and chains for your vehicle. This might be helpful after being in the USA, so it’s not a complete waste if you’re relocating there.

However, you may need to stock up on additional petrol cans if you’re traveling to or from the USA since some local gas stations may be closed. After all, you don’t want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere. If these small-town gas stations aren’t open, you’ll have to load up on food and beverages for your journey, so you don’t become too hungry.

How to arrange to shift?

If you are going to arrange the shifting by yourself then choose the right time for the arrangement is your holiday or weekend.

  1. Try to ask someone to help you in this regard in this way you will feel a little easier.
  2. Now the next step is to assign the task to everyone for better and perfect arrangements.
  3. Try to manage the food from the catering service; it will help you in other arrangements by getting sufficient time.

USA safety comes first

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.
