  1. What Exactly Is Hard Water?
  2. This Is The Secret You’ll Want To Keep
    1. Removing of harsh active ingredients
    2. Stabilise the hardness of water and climate changes

What causes hair loss? Well, the four common reasons are hereditary, changes in hormones especially after pregnancy, unhealthy scalp and excessive hair styling which introduces chemicals to the hair. Did you know that the quality of our water also affects the hair growth?

Research studies have actually revealed that loss of hair for Asian females has actually increased and now affects 15% of the female population and can affect as much as 73% of the population. It is also more likely to happen during and after middle age which is between 40 to 50 years. The portion for balding in guys is 63% for Singapore. Maybe why, 1 in 2 individuals have actually identified the possibility of hair loss as one of their biggest fears.

What Exactly Is Hard Water?

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the term “hard water” is used to describe water that has a high mineral content. Therefore, rainwater is considered soft as it is mineral free. The concern with hard water is that minerals such as calcium and magnesium tend to seep into our strands, specifically porous and broken ones, making them stiff and more vulnerable to breakage. In hard water, there are positively charged minerals and oxidizers while our hair is negatively charged.

When a favourable charged oxidizer or mineral is available in contact with an adversely charged hair, they get attracted causing the weakening of hair and in the long run, causing hair to fall. In Singapore, the level of water hardness ranges between 25 mg/litre (soft) and 145 mg/litre (hard).

Don’t worry about the quality of hard water and the minerals present inside. BioRoyale has a series of hair care products to regrow and strengthen your hair with no side effects to battle the climate condition we face out here in Asia. BioRoyale GroBack hair shampoo is the advanced product that took twenty years to perfect the formula.

Stabilise the hardness of water and climate changes

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
