CIMB Bank Berhad, Singapore Branch (CIMB) recently announced that they will be donating S$52,240 to the Family Service Centres (FSC) supported by Community Chest. The donation comes from the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort from 5 November to 5 December, 2021. All 900 bank employees took part in the ‘CIMB Cares Keep Fit’ programme, launched on 5 November 2021, where staff clocked in a grand total of 4,760 hours physical activity from walking, running or cycling.

The ‘CIMB Cares Keep Fit’ programme is a local extension of CIMB Group’s CSR initiatives. In-line with CIMB Group’s goal of advancing customers and society, CIMB Cares Keep Fit aims to empower the bank’s employees to take charge over their health and lives by making the choice to improve their overall wellbeing. A key thrust to the CIMB Cares Keep Fit initiative is to encourage employees to lead active lifestyles and, at the same time, provide support to the Family Service Centres through the National Council of Social Services, as family plays an integral role in the creation of society’s fabric of relationships.

“We decided to partner Community Chest and donate to the Family Service Centres because it is a cause dear to all of us at #teamCIMB. Family plays an important role in society’s fabric of relationships, and if we can contribute in any way to keep families intact and fed, and ensure they have the basic necessities, we are proud to do so,” shares Mr. Victor Lee, CEO of CIMB Bank Singapore.

The hours that the staff clocked in was tracked via the Strava application, and a dedicated microsite was set up by the event organizer, Orange Room, to manage donations from the bank employees and their family and friends, as well as to track their activity logs.

“I definitely miss taking part in larger CSR-led activities but this experience has taught me that I can still contribute to a meaningful cause virtually! I was excited to go on regular evening jogs so I could keep fit and donate to a good cause at the same time,” shares Ezra Peh, The Complete Banker Associate, CIMB Bank Berhad, Singapore Branch.

As a bank that truly cares for its people and the wider community, CIMB is committed to delivering positive long-term economic value and contributing to the social wellbeing of our communities. In addition to the CIMB Cares Keep Fit programme, the bank has also donated more than 500 pre-loved laptops to Engineering Good as part of its CSR outreach. Engineering Good is a non-profit that champions inclusivity for disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, such as persons with disabilities and low-income families, through sustainable engineering and technology solutions.

💎 Weekend adventure at Jewel Changi! We had lunch at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh. Of course, ended it all with some waterfall fun, the classic Jewel style.
🥐 Dropped by Moonchild Café at Jalan Besar for brunch and coffee after a late night catching up on GE2025 🗳️. Definitely needed that caffeine fix!

The café has a cosy, laid-back vibe with good coffee, waffles, and bakes — plus it’s dog-friendly, which is always a win. 🐶

🚌 It’s about a 15-minute walk from Bendemeer MRT, but if you’re coming from Tampines, just take Bus 23 — it stops right outside the café.

📍 If you’re looking for a chill spot in the Jalan Besar area with good vibes and brunch, this one’s worth checking out.
😌 TGIF! I’m taking a break from all the rally heat with some grilled goodness at Sinpopo.

🧈 The Damn Good Kaya & Salty Butter Sandwich really good, plus teh tarik, coffee and peanut mochi for that extra mood boost.

🗳️ Don’t forget to vote tomorrow ok?
